Roasted Chickpeas

Sri Lankan Roasted ChickpeasRoasted Chickpeas are packed with protein and fibre, making this a great snack alternative.  A simple & easy to make dish.

 Ingredients for Roasted Chickpeas

Bits to buy - 1 tin of Chickpeas From the cupboard -  A little olive oil Cumin powder Coriander powder Optional but super tasty -  Paprika powder or Cayenne Pepper Time to get cooking -  Preheat the oven to 200C/180C Fan/Gas 6.  Drain the canned chickpeas, spread on a baking tray and brush with a little olive oil.  Then sprinkle with cumin and coriander powder (can use cayenne pepper or paprika powder instead if you prefer).  Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes, tossing half way through.

Top Tips - 

Store your Roasted Chickpeas in an airtight container lined with kitchen towel, in a cool dark place.  Will keep for 1 – 2 days.
